Heather advocates for family/friend caregivers. She has lived experience as a caregiver to her parents, husband and daughter. As an Advisor to Acute Care Alberta, Calgary Integrated Home Care & Calgary Seniors Health she provides the caregiver perspective. For the past ten years she has facilitated COMPASS (a workshop for caregivers) through Caregivers Alberta. Heather lives part time in Sundre.
1:15 – Legacy Lab – Rebecca Aspden HAA/Jane Atkins
The Legacy Lab is an interactive, strengths‑focused 90‑minute workshop that guides participants to explore personal stories, uncover gifts and talents, and connect these strengths to the Determinants of Healthy Aging. The workshop shifts focus from needs to assets and highlights the contributions participants bring to their communities.
