Upcoming Events

We have been planning times we can get together as older adults and have meaningful conversations and learning experiences. The conversation cafes are a relaxed and friendly gathering for older adults to share ideas, stories and interests. Let’s talk about the importance of older adults in our community, who we are and what we want to do or learn.

• October 14 – Power of Attorney seminar from 2-3 pm at MVSH, focusing on understanding the legal implications and necessary documentation involved in granting authority to another person to act on your behalf.

• October 15 – 1:30-3:30 Conversation Cafe Sundre Library come by to have a conversation about who we are as older adults in Sundre while enjoying some refreshments and treats. Bring a friend, and come and go as your time allows. More info on event page.
• October 27 – 1:30-2:30 General meeting for Sundre Spruce. MVSH north doors. Come learn what we are planning or come with ideas we can help implement.
• November 3 – Drum Circle for the Community in the Round Building at the Museum from 10:30 – 11:30. Feel the vibrations and the beat.
• November 5 Taking Action Against Elder Abuse 9:30 – 3:30 at the United Church Hall. See Events for description. Lunch provided
• November 19 – Conversation Cafe – Project with Purpose continuing the conversations.
• November 24 SPRUCE meeting 1:30 – 2:30 MVSH
• December 17 Conversation Cafe – Project with Purpose – Something Special

We are hoping to continue with more scheduled projects in the new year as well. Please pass the message along.
